Woke up to the news National Electric Vehicle Sweden will begin serial production of the 9-3 on Monday and saw the news on SaabsUnited and TTELA. Edit Should have posted this earlier but I've been waiting for this news as long as any other Saab lover so it's exciting news but Saab/NEVS will use a GM sourced motor, not a BMW sourced motor as speculated. Saab had recently sent off a new 9-3 for Euro 5B+ certification in Holland with a GM motor.

This is fantastic! Thanks for the post! So happy! I don't want an electric car that bad, but if they bounce back enough they may start making non electric cars.

Actually the only electric ones are in China in a preproduction state, the gas engines are the ones going into production Monday!
